(TOWNSHIP OF EDWARDSBURGH/CARDINAL, ON) - Members of the Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a person after multiple vehicles were struck by a single vehicle.

On Friday, September 12, 2025, just before 11:00 pm, officers responded to reports of a collision on Centre Street in Spencerville, Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal. Multiple vehicles and a hydro pole were damaged during the incident. One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for testing.

Reese MOFFITT, age 23, from North Grenville was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences.

  • Dangerous operation
  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Friday, October 10, 2025.

The investigation by the Grenville County OPP is ongoing.
