(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) - The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate following an arrest in Lennox and Addington County.
On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, shortly after 8:00 pm, members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an unwanted person causing a disturbance.
Upon police arrival, a male was located and arrested in the area. He was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
The accused had indicated at the time that he had suffered an injury during the interaction. The OPP notified the SIU, which did not invoke its mandate to investigate at the time.
