TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE

(SEGUIN, ON) - A person has been charged following a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on Highway 400.
On January 17, 2026, at approximately 10:15 pm, members of the West Parry Sound and Bracebridge detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a possible impaired driver travelling on Highway 400Police located the vehicle on Highway 400 and conducted a traffic stop.
Robin CHATTERJEE, 47-years-old, from Vaughn was charged with:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs
- Class G1 licence holder - unaccompanied by qualified driver
- Class G1 licence holder - drive on prohibited highway
- Obstruct plate
- Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner
- Driver fail to surrender licence
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on February 19, 2026.
