OPP CHARGE LANARK COUNTY RESIDENT IN CHILD EXPLOITATION INVESTIGATION

(LANARK COUNTY, ON) - Police have arrested and charged a Lanark County resident following a child sexual exploitation investigation.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU) executed a search warrant at a residence in Perth. Assistance was provided by members of the Lanark County OPP and the OPP Digital Forensics Unit. Several electronic devices were seized.

As a result of the investigation, Brendan KELLY, 42 years old of Perth, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:

  • Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, section 163.1(4) - two counts
  • Make available child sexual abuse and exploitation material, section 163.1(3)

The accused was released from custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, June 15, 2026.
