BRACEBRIDGE OPP IS INVESTIGATING ANOTHER THEFT FROM A LOCAL RETAILER
-UPDATE - (GRAVENHURST, ON) - The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a local man after a theft from a local retailer in Gravenhurst
On Thursday February 12, 2026 at 1:20 pm, Bracebridge OPP officers began an investigation into a theft in progress at a local retail store on Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst. After being confronted by store staff, the male suspect took off on foot with a variety of items. Members of the public kept track of the suspect from a safe distance and police arrived within minutes. The suspect began experiencing a medical emergency and was transported to hospital in police custody, where he was treated.
Police have charged 33-year-old Brandon CONDREY of Gravenhurst with:
- Theft under $5000
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
He was held in custody after a bail hearing and is now scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
