CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING ASSAULT IN RUSSELL TOWNSHIP

(RUSSELL TWP, ON) - One person has been arrested and charged after an assault in in Russell Township.
On Saturday, July 19, 2025, just before 9:30 pm, officers with the Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident on Ste. Marie Road.
A male had suffered multiple puncture wounds to his neck. He was transported to hospital by Prescott-Russell paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers arrested an individual at the scene and transported them to the detachment.
As a result of the investigation, Tracey HUDLIN, age 55 of Russell Township, has been charged with:
- Aggravated assault
- Mischief - destroys or damages property
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
