DRIVER CHARGED AFTER DEBRIS DAMAGES VEHICLES

Garbage Falling From Truck On Highway 7 Strikes Vehicles

(CENTRAL FRONTENAC TWP., ON) - A driver has been charged after other vehicles were damaged by flying garbage.

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, shortly after 3:30 pm, members of the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded a report that garbage was falling from a pick-up truck traveling on Highway 7 near Arden Road.

One driver reported that debris had caused significant damage to their vehicle, with another driver reporting minor damage.

Officers located the pickup truck which had already pulled over.

A 71-year-old man from Arden was charged with having an insecure load.

Motorists are reminded that anything in the open box of a truck, or in a trailer, must be safely secured.
