The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has laid multiple charges following a Burlington drug trafficking investigation.

In February 2026, the HRPS commenced an investigation into an unknown suspect who had shipped a package containing cocaine through Canada Post.

Over the next few weeks investigators were able to pursue multiple investigative leads which identified the suspect as Trevor Herdman (42) of Burlington.

On March 23, 2026, Herdman was arrested and members of the 3 District Street Crime Unit executed Criminal Code and CDSA search warrants at his residence in Burlington, in addition to associated vehicles.

As a result of the search warrants the following items were seized:

  • 13 grams of cocaine
  • Evidence related to Canada Post shipping
  • Crossbow
  • Dodge pick-up truck (stolen from Burlington)
  • Fraudulent Ontario license plates
  • Approximately 70,000 illegal cigarettes

As a result of the investigation Herdman has been charged with the following:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5000
  • Tampering with a VIN
  • Possession of a Crossbow Contrary to Prohibition Order (2 Counts)
  • Driving While Prohibited (2 Counts)
  • Trafficking Contraband – Tobacco
  • Driving While Under Suspension (4 Counts, Highway Traffic Act)

Herdman was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

Of note at the time of his arrest Herdman was on federal statutory release for drug trafficking and stolen property related offences.
