The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested and charged a Georgetown man with sexual assault.
On May 25, 2026, at approximately 7:10 pm a teenage female youth was walking in the area of James Street and Draper Street in Georgetown when she was approached by the accused. The accused then initiated a conversation with the female and sexually assaulter her.
On May 29, 2026, Sankalp Singh (28) of Georgetown, was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault, Invitation to Sexual Touching and Sexual Interference.
Singh was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
