Update 3 (February 6, 2026)
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has located and arrested James Chadrey (Chad) Hume.
On Thursday February 5, 2026, at approximately 4:30 pm HRPS officers located Hume in the area of Main Street and Park Avenue in Georgetown, taking Hume into custody without incident.
Hume has been held in custody on the following charges and has a court date scheduled for February 6th in Milton.
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Assault with a Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
