Project Forge Results in the Seizure of an Estimated 1.5 Million in Illicit Drugs

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest and seized a combined 56 kilograms of Opium and Cocaine following a lengthy drug trafficking investigation.
In the fall of 2025 investigators with the Regional Drug and Organized Crime Unit began an investigation into illicit drug trafficking occurring within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) which resulted in a suspect being identified.
On February 9, 2026, HRPS officers executed Controlled drugs and Substances Act search warrants at two locations and an associated vehicle which led to the arrest of Aden Zedan.
As a result of the investigation police seized:
- 36 kilograms of opium
- 20 kilograms of cocaine
- $15,000 – $20,000 of bundled Canadian currency
The wholesale value of the seized drugs is an estimated 1.5 million dollars.
Aden Zedan, 22, of Toronto, has been charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opium
Zedan has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
