Canada-wide Warrant Issued
(BRAMPTON, ON) - More than $2.3 million worth of suspected fentanyl, equal to approximately 180,000 potential lethal doses, was seized and four individuals were charged in connection with an interprovincial fentanyl trafficking network operating between Ontario and Alberta.
In May 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Border Drug Interdiction Task Force (BDIT) initiated Project OLLIE, an intelligence-led investigation in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Investigators identified an interprovincial network of individuals allegedly trafficking fentanyl between the GTA and Calgary, Alberta. The Calgary Police Service (CPS) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), K Division, were engaged to continue this joint-forces investigation.
On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, a search warrant was executed at a location on Albright Road in Brampton. The following items were seized:
- 18 kg suspected fentanyl
- Three cell phones
As a result, Navjot SINGH, age 20 of Brampton, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) offences:
- Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence - trafficking firearms, s. 465(1)(c) CC
- Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence - trafficking fentanyl, s. 465(1)(c) CC
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, s. 354(1)(a) - three counts
- Trafficking - fentanyl, s. 5(1) CDSA - three counts
The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, March 6, 2026.
On the same day, Attarvir SINGH, age 23 of Calgary, Alberta, was arrested in Winnipeg, Manitoba, by the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) on a Canada-wide warrant related to this investigation. The following charges have been laid:
- Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence - trafficking fentanyl, s. 465(1)(c) CC
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, s. 354(1)(a) - three counts
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl, s. 5(2) CDSA - three counts
- Trafficking - fentanyl, s. 5(1) CDSA - three counts
The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Balwinder SINGH, age 21 of Calgary, Alberta, was arrested in Calgary, Alberta by the Alberta Sheriffs Fugitive Apprehension Sheriffs Support Team (FASST). The following charges have been laid:
- Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence - trafficking fentanyl, s. 465(1)(c) CC
- Trafficking - fentanyl, s. 5(1) CDSA
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl, s. 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, s. 354(1)(a)
The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, March 6, 2026.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of the following individual:
Manpreet SINGH, age 21 of Calgary, Alberta, is wanted in relation to the following offences:
- Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence - trafficking firearms, s. 465(1)(c) CC
- Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence - trafficking fentanyl, s. 465(1)(c) CC
