(THUNDER BAY, ON) - On June 3rd, 2025, at approximately 11:50 am, a member of the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) unit of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement along Highway 527, within the Unincorporated Territory of Thunder Bay.

The officer observed a motor vehicle driving 155km/hr in a posted 80km/hr & a traffic stop was initiated. As a result of the investigation, the driver’s licence has been suspended for 30 days & the vehicle impounded for 14-days.

A 58-year-old, of Thunder Bay, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform stunt - Excessive speed
  • Speeding 50+ Km/h over posted limit

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on July 28th, 2025.
