THUNDER BAY OPP SEIZE $150,000 IN SUSPECT COCAINE & OXYCODONE DURING TRAFFIC STOP

(THUNDER BAY, ON) - Members of the Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested & charged two individuals with offences under the Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
On Saturday, April 25th, 2026, around 1:47 pm, Thunder Bay OPP conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle along Highway 11-17, within the Municipality of Shuniah.
During the roadside investigation, a vehicle search was conducted at which officers located what appeared to be Cocaine & Oxycodone pills.
Investigators have seized the following items with approximate quantities:
- 1.1 kilograms of suspect Cocaine
- 1967 pills of suspect Oxycodone
The total value of CDSA seized was estimated to be approximately $150,000.00 in street value.
As a result, Shabazz BUSBY-JAMES, 32, of Rama First Nation, Ontario, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Opioid (other than heroin)
- Traffick in Schedule I Substance - Cocaine
- Traffick in Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin)
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
And Brook-lynn Lysandra Tittania DUNDAS, 32, of Pickering, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Opioid (other than heroin)
- Traffick in Schedule I Substance - Cocaine
- Traffick in Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin)
Both accused are being held in-custody overnight & scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing on April 26th, 2026.
