DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CHARGES

(GREENSTONE, ON) - Three individuals are facing drug trafficking and weapons charges following an investigation in the municipality of Greenstone.
A joint investigation conducted by the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Nishnabe Aski Police Service (NAPS) Drug Enforcement Unit has resulted in the execution of two search warrants in relation to drug trafficking in the Town of Longlac.
Quantities of fentanyl and cocaine, along with a firearm have been seized.
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, executed search warrants at residences on Centennial Drive, and John Street in Longlac.
A search conducted by members of the Greenstone, Thunder Bay, Nipigon, and Marathon CSCU, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, and the NAPS Drug Enforcement Unit yielded the seizure of approximately 109 grams of suspected fentanyl, 135 grams of suspected crack cocaine and 33 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated potential street value of $152,800. Investigators also seized a firearm, bear spray, a digital scale, and an estimated $20,000 in Canadian currency.
As a result of the investigation, Donius JOSEPH 19 years old of North York, Brandon LEGARDE 33 years old of Longlac, and Hannah NEEGAN 29 years old of Longlac were arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Controlled drugs and Substances Act offences:
- Possession of a schedule I susbstance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I susbstance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (2)
Additionally, Hannah NEEGAN was also charged with fail to comply with probation order under the Criminal Code.
The accused individuals were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greenstone at a later date.
