GREENSTONE OPP INVESTIGATING ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION - Public Assistance Requested

(LONGLAC, ON) - The Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance regarding an attempt abduction in the community of Longlac, ON in the area of Nishnabe Miikena Road and Picnic Point Road.

On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at approximately 8:45 am a student from Notre Dame de Fatima French School was approached by a beige‑coloured vehicle occupied by two male suspects. One male was said to have exited the vehicle, grabbed the student by the hand, and attempted to pull her toward the vehicle. The student was able to escape and safely reach the school.

The driver of the vehicle is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • thin light‑coloured hair
  • wearing a white jacket with red detailing around the cuffs
  • Late 30’s -early 40’s

The passenger is described as:

  • tall African American male
  • black hair
  • wearing a black hat
  • a black shirt with a white cat on the front
  • an unzipped brown sweater
  • Late 30’s -early 40’s

The Greenstone OPP is continuing to investigate the incident and is seeking the public’s assistance. Anyone who may have been in the area of Nishnabe Miikena Road and Picnic Point Road that has dashcam or anyone in the area who has home surveillance is being asked to contact police.
