(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) - The Sioux Lookout Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a single-vehicle collision that resulted in a fatality on Vermillion River Road, just north of Sioux Lookout.
OPP officers responded shortly after 8:00 am on Friday, September 26, 2025, following a report from a passing motorist who noticed a vehicle in a ditch. The driver, a 22-year-old male from Emo and the lone occupant, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Vermillion River Road was closed for the investigation and reopened shortly before 5:00 pm
