1 District CIB Investigating Two Armed Robberies

On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers responded to two incidents of armed commercial robberies.
At approximately 9:40 PM, officers responded to a convenience store located on Niagara Street in St Catharines. Investigating officers learned that two male suspects attended the store, with one suspect brandishing a black handgun. The suspects made a demand for cash and left the premise with a small quantity of Canadian currency. The suspects from this incident are described as follows:
- Suspect 1: Male, red Chicago Bulls hooded sweatshirt, black face covering, black jogging pants, red sneakers, white socks,
- Suspect 2: Male, slim build, black bomber jacket, black pants, black sandals, white socks, black face covering,
At approximately 11:20 PM, officers responded to a second armed robbery at a convenience store in the area of Collier Road South in the Town of Thorold. Investigating officers discovered that two male suspects had attended the store and brandished a black handgun, while making a demand for cash. The suspects fled the scene with a small quantity of Canadian currency. The suspects are described as follows:
- Suspect 1: Male, black, black face covering, black hooded jacket, black pants, white socks, black sandals
- Suspect 2: Male, black, black face covering, translucent surgical gloves, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, white Nike Air Force One shoes with black laces and logo
