Suspect Vehicle to Identify in St. Catharines BB Gun incident

On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) were called to two separate incidents in St. Catharines involving a vehicle that drove by people and fired rounds from a BB gun.
Uniform officers with 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) first responded to the St. Paul Street and James Street area for a report of a black SUV that was driving along St. Paul Street. At approximately 8:50 pm an occupant within that vehicle shot multiple rounds from a BB gun at an individual on the sidewalk. The victim sustained no injuries. The SUV fled toward Ontario Street and was last seen northbound on Ontario Street.
In a separate incident, 1 District uniform officers responded to a call in Port Dalhousie. The victim in this call reported that at approximately 9:25 pm they were on Main Street near Elgin Street when a black SUV drove by and an occupant within that vehicle shot several rounds from a BB gun. The victim in this incident was not injured either.
