Flight from Police Results in Drug Trafficking Arrest – Niagara Falls

On Monday, April 13, 2026, an officer with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Community Oriented Response and Engagement Unit (CORE) attempted to conduct a traffic stop with a vehicle on Valley Way in the City of Niagara Falls. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled the scene.
Detectives with 2 District Street Crime Unit (SCU) took carriage of the investigation and subsequently located and arrested the driver after a short foot pursuit. The driver was determined to be a prohibited driver, and his vehicle was impounded for 45 days. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of the following items:
- 12.9 grams suspected cocaine (street value of $1,548)
- Drug trafficking paraphernalia
33-year-old Jevone BROWN of Brampton is charged with the following offences:
- Flight from Police Officer
- Operation While Prohibited (5 counts)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine)
- Have care or control of vehicle with cannabis readily available
BROWN was held in custody and attended a bail hearing on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
