2 District Street Crime Arrest Niagara Falls Male in Drug Trafficking Investigation

In January 2026, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit (SCU) began an investigation into the illegal trafficking of drugs in the city of Niagara Falls. Detectives observed a male suspect exhibiting behaviour that is consistent with drug trafficking.
On February 11, 2026, detectives observed the suspect conducting a drug transaction in the area of Summer Street in Niagara Falls, and he was subsequently arrested. Detectives seized the following items:
- 2.2 grams fentanyl (street value $440)
- 19 hydromorphone tablets (street value $380)
- $600 Canadian Currency
Detectives applied for and were subsequently granted a judicial search warrant for a residence on Drummond Road in Niagara Falls. Detectives seized the following items from the residence:
- 7.3 grams fentanyl (street value $1460)
- 36 hydromorphone tablets (street value $720)
- Glock Magazine
- Seven 9mm rounds of ammunition
28-year-old Donte LLOYD of Niagara Falls is charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime under $5000
- Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone)
- Driving While Under Suspension
LLOYD remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
