2 District Street Crime Unit Investigation Results in 9 Charges, 2 Arrests

In December 2025, the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit (SCU) began an investigation into the illegal trafficking of drugs on Dunn Street in the City of Niagara Falls. Detectives observed two suspects that consistently exhibited behaviour consistent with illegal drug trafficking.

On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, detectives placed Ryan MORRIS under arrest. Detectives applied for and were granted a judicial search warrant for a residence on Dunn Street, and the following items were seized:

  • 24.3 grams fentanyl (street value $4860)
  • 2.6 grams crystal methamphetamine (street value $260)
  • 189 hydromorphone pills (street value $3280)
  • $690 Canadian currency

34-year-old Ryan MORRIS of Niagara Falls is charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime under $5000
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone)
  • Trafficking Schedule I Substance (Hydromorphone)
  • Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking (Hydromorphone)

MORRIS attended a bail hearing on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

26-year-old Tia-Lynn HILL of St Catharines is charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone)

HILL was arrested on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, and was released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date.
