Break and Enter Suspect to Identify in Grimsby

Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) Criminal Investigative Bureau (CIB) are currently investigating a break and enter that occurred at a rural Grimsby property.

On Monday, February 2, 2026, at approximately 12:05PM, an unknown suspect broke into an outbuilding on a property in the Mud Street East and Mountain Road area. The suspect stole hunting equipment including 5 firearms (long guns) and 2 crossbows.

CCTV in the area captured a suspect vehicle, which is described as follows.

  • 2001-2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or 2500HD
  • Grey or beige in colour
  • Extended cab
  • Tinted front and rear windows
  • No rear sliding window
  • Extended black tow mirrors
  • No truck box cover
  • Black rims on the rear tires and lighter coloured metallic rims on the front tires

Detectives are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect vehicle and/or the suspect in this incident. Due to the nature of the items stolen, the NRPS is advising members of the public to not approach the suspect or suspect vehicle, and to contact police immediately.
