Drug Trafficking Investigation Results in Seizure of $59,663 in Illicit Substances – Niagara Falls

In March 2026, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) uniform officers began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal substances by a male in the City of Niagara Falls.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the male was observed trafficking illicit substances and was arrested at a business on Lundy’s Lane with assistance from the 2 District Street Crime Unit (SCU). Detectives applied for and were subsequently granted a judicial search warrant for the male’s residence, which was executed at approximately 8:45 PM. As a result of the investigation, the following items were seized:
- 84.6 grams suspected Fentanyl, street value of $15,228
- 243.1 grams suspected crystal methamphetamine, street value of $24,310
- 32.8 grams suspected cocaine, street value of $3,280
- 1123 tablets of hydromorphone, street value of $16,845
- $14,162.30 Canadian Currency
- $138 US Currency
44-year-old Jay MACDOUGALL of Niagara Falls is charged with the following criminal offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone)
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
MACDOUGALL remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
