Three Charged and Three Vehicles Impounded in Three Separate Stunt Driving Incidents

On Friday March 13, 2026, at approximately 2:30 pm an officer with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) conducted speed enforcement on Lyons Creek Rd in the city of Niagara Falls.
That officer stopped a vehicle travelling 93km/h in a posted 50km/h zone. A 62-year-old male driver from Niagara Falls was charged with Drive Vehicle While Performing a Stunt and Speeding. His licence was suspended for a period of 30 days, and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
In a separate incident, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at approximately 9:20 pm, another TEU officer was conducting speed enforcement on Regional Road 20 in the city of Thorold.
That officer stopped a vehicle travelling 102km/h in a posted 60km/h zone. A 46-year-old female driver from Pelham was charged with Drive Vehicle While Performing a Stunt and Speeding. Her licence was suspended for a period of 30 days, and her vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
In a third incident on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at approximately 8:30 pm another TEU officer was conducting speed enforcement on Lyons Creek Road in the city of Niagara Falls.
That officer stopped a vehicle travelling 99km/h in a posted 50km/h zone. A 31-year-old male driver from Welland was charged with the following Highway Traffic Act charges.
- Drive Vehicle While Performing a Stunt
- Speeding
- Fail To Surrender Licence
- Driving While Under Suspension
- Fail to Surrender Insurance Card
That vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and the driver’s licence remains suspended.
