(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - The Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a death.
On Tuesday September 23, 2025, at approximately 10:00 pm, the Nipissing West OPP, began a death investigation at a nursing home on Michaud Street, West Nipissing.
An 85-year-old person from West Nipissing was found deceased by staff members.
This investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by the Nipissing West OPP Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service to determine the cause of death.
