(MATHESON, ON) - On Monday, February 2, 2026, at approximately 11:15 pm, members of the Iroquois Falls Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to call from a stranded motorist.

Police determined that the driver had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) that exceeded the legal limit and that they had driven within the past two hours.

As a result, Sebastien RENAUD, 44 years of age, of Matheson, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is schedule to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins, on March 9, 2026, to answer to the charge.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
