OPP CHARGES TWO PERSONS FOLLOWING A DRUG WARRANT

(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) - On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) K9 unit and Iroquois Falls members, the OPP Northeast Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in Monteith. Police seized suspected cocaine, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia, all with an estimated street value of $13,800.
As a result, two persons were arrested and charged.
Dean Bernier, 48 years of age and Wendy Emans, 55 years of age, both from Monteith, have been charged with the following CDSA offences:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and
- Possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000
The accused persons are being held in custody and are awaiting a bail hearing.
