(TERRACE BAY, ON) - An individual is facing numerous charges after being stopped for speeding.

On May 12th, 2026, at approximately 12:26 am, a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon Detachment utilizing a RaDAR speed measuring device, located a white Freightliner Cascadia commercial motor vehicle in Terrace Bay, travelling 100 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone.

A 30-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed, Careless Driving, and Fail to Stop on Right for Emergency Vehicle.

The accused received a 30 day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days, the driver is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
