(NORTH STORMONT, ON) An individual from North Stormont Township is facing charges for break and enter in the Crysler area.
On Sunday January 25, 2026, shortly after 2:00 am, Officers responded to a report of residential break and enter in the Crysler area. The suspect, who had fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival, was later located and arrested.
As a result, James Barkley, age 46 of North Stormont Township, was charged with:
- Mischief - destroys or damages property - two counts
- Forcible entry - two counts
- Possession of a Schedule I substance - Cocaine
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
