(CORNWALL, ON) - A traffic stop in Cornwall has led to a drug seizure and charges.
On Saturday, March 14, 2026, shortly after 10:30 pm, an officer with the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a pick-up truck after it failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of McConnell Avenue and Tollgate Road.
Cannabis was observed inside the vehicle, and a resulting search led to the location of nearly 400 grams of suspected cocaine and over $1000 in cash. A photo is attached.
As a result of the investigation, Cory crowder, age 40 of Cornwall, has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose or trafficking
- Driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available
- Failing to stop for a red light
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 19, 2026.
