ONE PERSON HAS DIED FOLLOWING A TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION IN NORTH DUNDAS

(NORTH DUNDAS, ON) - One person is deceased following a collision on County Road 43 in North Dundas.
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, at approximately 11:00 am, members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on county road 43 at County Road 1. The collision involved a rental moving van and SUV.
The passenger in the SUV, a 78-year-old woman from Winchester was transported to hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Members of the SD&G OPP are continuing to investigate the collision with assistance from the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team.
County Road 43, between Kerrs Ridge Road and Church Rd, as well as County Road 1 at Kerrs Ridge Road remained closed for several hours to allow for the investigation.
