One man arrested, police continue to search for another

LONDON, ON (June 2, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service Patrol Operations Investigative Section (POIS) are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 36-year-old London man wanted in relation to an investigation from last month.

On Saturday, May 17, 2026, at approximately 10:50 am, police were called to a residence in the area of Egerton Street and Grafton Street in relation to a stolen vehicle investigation. Officers attended and observed the reported stolen motorcycle at the rear of the residence.

A search warrant was obtained and executed, resulting in the recovery of three stolen motorcycles and the seizure of two firearms, one of which was loaded.

As a result of the investigation, Michael James Vail, 40, and Johnny M. Grebenchan, 36, both of London, have been charged jointly with the following offences:

  • Three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Three counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device of ammunition
  • Three counts of possess of firearm or ammunition
  • Two counts of possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence
  • Possess firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm
  • Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm

Michael Vail has additionally been charged with one count of operation while prohibited.

Michael Vail has been arrested, while investigators have not located Johnny Grebenchan and continue to search for him. A photograph of Grebenchan is being released in the hopes that members of the public can assist police in locating him.
