LONDON, ON (May 28, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section are investigating a shooting that took place west of the downtown core overnight.
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, at approximately 3 am, members of the London Police Service responded to the area of Wharncliffe Road North and Blackfriars Street following reports of the sound of a gunshot.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital by paramedic services with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is in its early stages, and it is not known if the suspect and victim are known to one another.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area of Wharncliffe Road North and Blackfriars Street between 2:45 – 3:15 am, who may have information, residential or business surveillance footage, or dash-cam footage, to contact police.
