(BANCROFT, ON) - Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation during RIDE program in the Town of Bancroft.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, just before 11:00 pm, Bancroft OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Mill Street. One driver was transported to the detachment for testing.

Alex SKRIABOW, a 65-year-old resident of Bancroft, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80) plus
  • Operation while impaired - alcohol

The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on July 8, 2025.
