COLLINGWOOD OPP ARREST AND CHARGE RESIDENT ON OUTSTANDING WARRANT

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) - On May 23, 2026, at approximately 9:30 pm, members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol when they conducted a proactive traffic stop in the area of Highway 26 and Saint Clair Street.
As a result of the investigation, officers identified an individual who was wanted on outstanding warrants. Mark BECKETT, a 60-year-old of Collingwood, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Failure to Attend Court After Having Appeared
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine
The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in relation to these charges.
