SUSPICIOUS PERSONS CALL LEADS TO MULTIPLE CHARGES

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) On April 18th at approximately 5:00 am officers received a call for service regarding a suspicious person going through vehicles in the area of Gibbard Crescent.
Officers successfully located the individual shortly there after.
Subsequently 35-year-old Kyle BROWNLEE of Collingwood was arrested and charged with:
- Trespassing at night
- Theft
Police investigation also revealed the accused was wanted with another police service and was returned to appear before a court in their jurisdiction.
Following the initial arrest, officers located a vehicle in the area and identified the occupants. Officers believed the individuals were connected to the initial call for service. As a result:
45-year-old Michael CHURCHILL of Wasaga Beach was arrested for an outstanding warrant and charged with:
- Fail to attend court
- Possession of a schedule 1 Substance - cocaine
The accused was held for bail where he appeared before a judge to speak to his charges.
32-year-old Meaghan GILMORE of Wasaga Beach was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
The involved vehicle was impounded for seven days their drivers license was suspended for 90 days. The accused was given a court date where they will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood.
