COLLINGWOOD OPP CHARGE AND ARREST A MOTORIST WITH IMPAIRED OPERATION

(COLLINGWOOD) - The Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a motorist with impaired operation following a single-vehicle collision.
On May 5, at approximately 8:30 pm, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision in the area of Chamberlain Crescent and High Street. Upon arrival, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation. As a result, officers arrested and charged Dillon KOOPMANS, 37 year old, of Collingwood.
The accused has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood at a later date. Their driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
