COLLINGWOOD OPP ARREST AND CHARGE TWO IMPAIRED DRIVERS

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) - Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police arrested and charged two motorists with impaired operation.
On Friday March 13th 2026, at approximately 1:00 pm, Officers of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP received a call for service regarding an indecent act occurring at The Blue Mountains Resort parking lot. Officers located the vehicle and driver in question. Which subsequently led to an impaired driving investigation.
As a result of that investigation, Aaron TATHAM, a 28-year-old from Ingersoll, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Indecent Act - Public Place
- Indecent Exhibition
- Possession of a Schedule III Substance
- Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
On Monday March 16th, 2026, at approximately 5:00 pm, Officers of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP received a call for service regarding a traffic complaint in the area of Highway 26 and Christie Beach Road. Police located the vehicle and began an impaired driving investigation
As a result of the second investigation, Baljit GILL, 62, of Brampton, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
The accused individuals are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood. Their driver’s licences were suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
