THREE PEOPLE CHARGED AFTER DRUG SEIZURE IN BELLEVILLE

(BELLEVILLE, ON) - Three people face charges after a drug seizure in Belleville.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Belleville Police Service, began an investigation in late 2025 into drug trafficking in the Deseronto, Shannonville and Belleville area.
On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, officers with CSCU, assisted by the Belleville Police Tactical Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Moira Street East.
Three people were arrested at the scene. Officers seized approximately 11.5 grams of suspected cocaine, as well nearly $700 in cash and items typically associated with drug trafficking.
Christopher HILL, age 41, Tyler HILL, age 36 and Vanessa MEESTERS, age 38, all from Belleville, have each been charged with possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Christopher HILL has also been charged with possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
All of the accused individuals were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 16, 2026.
