On July 18, 2025, a Kingston Police Patrol Officer was conducting proactive patrols in the area of 1201 Division Street when he observed an individual seated in a motor vehicle. The officer noted significant damage to the vehicle’s driver side window.

A query of the vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen by the owner two days prior. At the same time a second individual approached and entered the vehicle.

The officer approached the vehicle and both occupants were placed under arrest for possession of stolen property. A further search of the vehicle revealed the individuals were in possession of additional stolen property inside the car as well numerous pieces of paraphernalia associated to drug trafficking.

A 36-year-old individual of no fixed address was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and two counts of breach of probation. They were transported to Kingston Police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

A 37-year-old individual of Belleville, Ontario was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, breach of probation and failing to comply with conditions of a release order. They were transported to Kingston Police headquarters and held for bail hearing.
