In the spring of 2026, members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit initiated an investigation into individuals believed to be involved in the trafficking of fentanyl within the City of Kingston.

As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained under the Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) for a residence located on Montreal Street in Kingston.

On Thursday, June 4, 2026, the warrant was executed by the Emergency Response Unit. Two occupants of the residence were located and taken into custody before being transported to Kingston Police Headquarters.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, a digital scale, packaging materials, and a quantity of cash believed to be proceeds of crime. Investigators also located and seized a conducted energy weapon and replica firearms.

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (three counts, including fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
