Kingston Police seek assistance identifying robbery suspects

On April 15th, 2026, at approximately 1:25 am., members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of a weapons related offence at a residence in the area of John Counter Boulevard and Montreal Street.
Through investigation, it was determined the victim was asleep in their residence when masked suspects entered the bedroom brandishing weapons. A brief altercation ensued in which the victim was able to flee the residence and phone police. The victim did not sustain any injuries during this altercation.
On April 16, 2026 a 54-year-old individual was arrested at a Kingston residence in relation to this investigation; the accused was charged with harassment by threatening conduct, possession of a weapon, assault with a weapon, mischief, point a firearm and robbery. They were transported to Kingston Police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
Investigators are attempting to identify three additional suspects involved in this incident. It is believed this is an isolated incident and no risk to public safety exists.
