Kingston Police Officer arrested for impaired operation

The Kingston Police have charged a member of its service following an investigation into allegations of impaired driving.
On April 26, 2026, Constable Chris Gobeil, a 27-year member of the Kingston Police, was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and exceed blood alcohol concentration.
Following the incident which occurred at approximately 8:15 pm in the area of Princess Street and Gardiners Road, Gobeil was transported to Kingston Police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
