Joint Drug Enforcement Operations Lead to Significant Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Seizures

A coordinated investigation led by the Kingston Police Drug Enforcement Unit, in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Central Hastings Community Street Crime Unit and the Peterborough/Northumberland Street Crime Unit, has resulted in multiple arrests and substantial drug and weapons seizures across several jurisdictions.
The investigation, which commenced in early 2025, focused on a 33-year-old Kingston resident believed to be supplying controlled substances to neighbouring regions. On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, a targeted traffic stop led to the discovery of over one kilogram of pressed cocaine, with an estimated street value exceeding $100,000.
Subsequent search warrants, authorized by a Justice of the Peace, were executed at a residence in the Armstrong Road and Bath Road area of Kingston. Additional Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrants were later executed at addresses in North York and Marmora, Ontario.
As a result of the investigation, officers seized:
- 1,403 grams of cocaine
- 112 grams of MDMA
- 43 Oxycocet pills
- 2022 Mazda CX-9
- .22 calibre long rifle
- Conducted energy weapon (Taser)
- Two bulletproof vests located
- Canadian currency
- Three cellular devices
- 350 rounds of.22 calibre hollow point ammunition
The total estimated street value of the drugs seized exceeds $143,000.
As a result of the investigation a 33-year-old Kingston resident was arrested and charged with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A 36-year-old North York resident was charged with trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Additionally, two residents of Deloro, Ontario were jointly charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and unauthorized possession of a firearm. They were both held in custody pending bail hearings.
