Kingston Police make arrest in relation to recent homicide.

On August 4, 2024, at approximately 2:26 am members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to an apartment building located in the area of Cassidy Street and Montreal Street where it had been reported an assault occurred which left one individual severely injured.
The victim, who was found to be suffering from multiple wounds caused by an edged weapon, was assisted by other emergency service workers on scene and was then transported to hospital by ambulance with life threatening injuries.
The victim, 34-year-old Jordan Greene of Kingston succumbed to their injuries at hospital. No other individuals were injured in relation to this incident.
The victim and the accused who were attending a gathering at a mutual acquaintance’s apartment were not known to each other. This incident is also unrelated to the homicide which occurred last month.
Through the course of investigation members of the Kingston Police Major Crime Unit identified a suspect in relation to this incident.
On August 5, 2024, 19-year-old Keenan Gould of Kingston was arrested and charged with second degree murder. The accused was held at the Kingston Police headquarters, attended a bail hearing and was subsequently remanded into custody.
