In the summer of 2025, members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit launched an investigation into persons actively involved in the trafficking cocaine within the City of Kingston.

The investigation resulted in Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrants being obtained for two residential addresses within Kingston, and a vehicle.

On Wednesday, August 21st, 2025, with the assistance of the Kingston Police Drug Unit, Emergency Response Unit, the Canine Unit, and the Community Oriented Response and Enforcement Unit, the warrants were executed at both residences and the vehicle. Three people were arrested at a residence on Jennifer Court and taken to Kingston Police Headquarters where they were processed into custody.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of cocaine, cash, scales, packaging materials and a vehicle that was used in committing drug trafficking offences.

A 27-year-old individual from the Greater Toronto Area, a 25-year-old individual from Whitby, and a 25-year-old individual from Kingston have been charged with the following offences:

- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime

One of the accused was released by the Kingston Police, and two were held in custody for a show cause hearing.
