Police requesting public’s assistance identifying a suspect

Arrest made in relation to downtown break and enter incident.
On October 4, 2024, at approximately 6:00 am the accused broke into an apartment building in the area of Barrie Street and Princess Street.
The accused entered an apartment and proceeded to expose themselves to the victim while performing a sexual act and making sexual comments. The accused then fled the apartment at which point the victim contacted police. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries during this incident.
Members of the Kingston Police Major Crime Unit began investigating the incident and were able to obtain security camera footage of the accused which ultimately lead to the identification and arrest of the accused.
On October 5, 2024, the accused 55-year-old Sandrino Silvestri of Kingston was arrested at a local shelter. Silvestri was charged with break and enter, sexual assault, harassment by threatening conduct and two counts of breach of probation. Silvestri was transported to Kingston Police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.
The Kingston Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a break and enter.
On October 4, 2024, at approximately 6:00 am an unknown suspect broke into an apartment building in the area of Barrie Street and Princess Street.
The suspect was captured on a store security camera in the area of Princess Street and Clergy Street East. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, wearing a grey and black hooded sweatshirt with light colored shorts.
