Suspended driver arrested and charged for possession of drugs

On December 12, 2025 at approximately 3:20pm a member of the Kingston Police CORE Unit assisted by the Uniform Patrol Division observed a vehicle with a recognized suspended driver occupying the driver’s seat.
Upon stopping the vehicle, the officers observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle and occupant lead to the discovery of 90 grams of cocaine, 5 Fentanyl Pills, 1.5g Crystal Methamphetamine, 200 Oxycodone pills, 1 digital scale, 3 cellphones and $285 in Canadian currency.
The 53-year-old accused individual of Amherstview was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a schedule one substance for trafficking, one count of possession of a schedule two substance for trafficking, one count of a possession of a schedule one substance, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
The accused was transported to Kingston Police headquarters where they were held for a bail hearing.
