Vehicle crash leads to impaired arrest
On December 14 at approximately 5:23pm, members of the Kingston Police had just completed a call and were parked in the area of Venture Drive and Resource Road when they observed a vehicle travelling down the road at a high-rate speed, that then crashed into a snowbank and guard rail.
Upon approaching the crashed vehicle, and through the course of investigation, officers were able to determine the driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
As a result of the crash, the lone occupant of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries.
The 52 year-old from Gananoque was arrested and transported to Kingston Police Headquarters. The accused was charged with impaired operation and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
